India and Japan have launched new initiatives to enhance bilateral cooperation in Artificial Intelligence and critical minerals during their 18th Strategic Dialogue. The countries established an AI dialogue and a Joint Working Group on critical minerals to advance collaboration on rare earth elements and other strategic resources. Both sides also agreed to hold a private-sector dialogue and will conduct the second round of Economic Security Dialogue in the first half of 2026.
