In short

A new service called Context Hub that provides API documentation to coding agents has been found vulnerable to supply chain attacks through poisoned documentation. Security researcher Mickey Shmueli demonstrated that malicious instructions can be inserted into documentation, which AI agents then incorporate into configuration files and generated code without proper content sanitization. The attack exploits the fact that AI models cannot reliably distinguish between data and system instructions, posing significant security risks for software development workflows.
