Taisei Corporation, TIER IV, and Taisei Rotec announced on October 14, 2026 that they were selected for a Japanese government project demonstrating the Autoflow Road, an automated logistics road system using dedicated road space and unmanned, clean-energy transport. The partners will run an eight-day, three-vehicle autonomous driving demonstration at an MLIT research facility in late October to early November 2026, testing multi-vehicle automated driving, sensor simplification, and infrastructure-assisted self-localization with TIER IV's Pilot.Auto and Taisei's T-Localizer. The work builds on fiscal 2025 trials and aims at a technology foundation for social implementation of the Autoflow Road.
