In short

ABB Robotics has launched its first end-to-end, vision-based industrial-grade physical AI solution, upgrading its Fashion Inductor module with the new AI Robot Trainer for fashion and apparel logistics. The system combines pre-trained fashion-specific vision models, automatic path planning and a digital twin to cut engineering and commissioning effort by up to 75%, while delivering sorting throughput of up to 1,300 items per hour per cell with picking accuracy targets above 99.5%. ABB says the same AI Robot Trainer approach will be extended across further vision-based robotics applications through Q1 2027 as part of its Autonomous Versatile Robotics (AVR) roadmap.
