Zalando deploys robots for returns

· Source: us.fashionnetwork.com

In short

Zalando, together with Sereact and CEVA Logistics, has launched AI-powered returns processing at its fulfilment centres in Greven (Germany) and Świebodzin (Poland). The Cortex physical AI platform autonomously picks, identifies and sorts fashion returns without item-specific training or fixed SKU profiles, delivered under a Robotics-as-a-Service model. The deployment marks an initial operational milestone in expanding automated returns processing across Europe and aims to reduce physical strain on warehouse staff, who shift to monitoring, exception management and quality control.
