· Source: mexicobusiness.news

In short

Mexico's government has created the Advisory Council for the Digital Transformation of the Health Sector to build an AI-driven system that tracks and distributes medicines and medical supplies across public healthcare institutions. Led by researchers from UNAM, TecNM, CIMAT and IPN, the initiative will focus on real-time demand requests, inventory management and last-mile delivery, covering roughly 3 billion units of supplies across more than 1,000 hospitals and nearly 15,000 primary-care units. First results are expected within a month, with implementation planned to begin in January 2027.
