In short
GXO Logistics and Exotec announced that an Exotec Skypod automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) is now operating at GXO's Venlo, Netherlands facility serving fashion brand Guess. The installation, which includes 127 robots, 60,000 rack locations, eight goods-to-person picking stations and 200 meters of conveyor network, processes 40,000 to 70,000 pieces per day with peak throughput of up to 2,200 order lines per hour. GXO selected Exotec as a single system integrator to simplify accountability and reduce integration risk, with e-commerce fulfillment for the Benelux region set to go live imminently.
