AI-driven emergency logistics network deployment in dynamic environments

· Source: nature.com

In short

This study presents EDSTG-ARO, an AI-driven dynamic deployment framework for emergency logistics that integrates an Event-Driven Spatio-Temporal Graph Neural Network (STGNN) with Adaptive Robust Optimization (ARO). Using real-world data from New York City's For-Hire Vehicle dataset, the model demonstrated significant improvements in demand fulfillment, delivery delay, and resource utilization efficiency under dynamic and uncertain emergency scenarios such as pandemics and severe weather. The framework's closed-loop design enables robust and adaptive decision-making, outperforming existing benchmarks in emergency logistics optimization.
