Audi and NVIDIA Use Agile Robots for Parts Sequencing Trial

· Source: supplychaindigital.com

In short

Audi is partnering with Agile Robots, Dassault Systèmes and NVIDIA on a proof of concept to automate parts sequencing at its Ingolstadt plant using mobile humanoid robots. The trial targets one of automotive logistics' hardest automation challenges: picking mixed components from unsorted containers and placing them in the correct assembly sequence, within an operation handling around one million picks per day. A DELMIA virtual twin combined with NVIDIA Omniverse simulation is used to validate robot missions, cycle times and ergonomics before physical deployment.
