Primark: Transforming Supply Chain Decision-Making
· Source: supplychaindigital.com
In short
Primark has selected supply chain network design platform Kallikor to overhaul how it makes supply chain decisions, using digital twin simulations of its distribution centres to test operational and capital changes before committing spend. The retailer, with more than 500 stores in 19 countries, aims to compare scenarios across cost, service, capacity and risk to improve efficiency and resilience. Kallikor claims 90% of leaders see reputational risk in major decisions and that only 19% of major retail supply chain decisions are delivered as intended, while its engagements identify an average of US$14.2m in value within six months.
