Siemens and Xometry to expand supply chain intelligence

· Source: news.siemens.com

In short

Siemens has entered into a strategic partnership with Xometry, a global AI-native marketplace for custom manufacturing, to embed AI-driven manufacturability, pricing, sourcing and lifecycle intelligence directly into the Siemens Xcelerator design digital thread. The partnership includes a minority investment of approximately $50 million in Xometry and extends Siemens' design-to-source intelligence beyond electronics to standard and custom mechanical parts. By integrating Xometry's AI-native platform with Siemens' industrial software, the collaboration aims to break down the boundary between design and production, providing engineers real-time feedback on design feasibility, pricing, and lead times within their existing workflows.
