SmartSupplyAI — The weekly briefing on AI in supply chain and logistics

AI in procurement and supplier management

Spend analysis, contracts, tenders, supplier risk, negotiation agents: what AI changes in procurement, with the latest articles from our watch.

Procurement handles a lot of text: contracts, tenders, invoices, exchanges with suppliers. That makes it fertile ground for generative AI, used to analyze spend, compare bids, draft and review contracts or prepare a negotiation.

On top of that come supplier risk monitoring (financial health, dependencies, compliance, geopolitical exposure) and the automation of low-value purchases, sometimes handed over to AI agents. The gains announced depend heavily on the quality of the supplier master data and of spend classification.
