In short

Hyundai Movex has won a ₩72 billion (about $53.2 million) contract to build smart logistics systems for Kumho Tire's new 500,000-square-meter plant in Hampyeong, South Jeolla Province, targeting completion by October 2028 and annual capacity of 5.3 million tires. The integrated automation system links AS/RS, AGVs, AMRs, RGVs, conveyors with WMS/WCS software and adds AI-based cargo volume forecasting, real-time tracking and unmanned inter-process transport. The deal, handled as a one-stop design-to-maintenance project, strengthens Hyundai Movex's tire-sector track record alongside its Tennessee project for Hankook Tire and lifts its order backlog above ₩400 billion.
